I think we can all agree that this year is going by really quickly! We are already in mid October and before we know it, winter will be here. We have some good ideas here at SohoConcept to change your house to give it that winter vibe.

Living Room

Colour is one of the main changes that will make your living room have that cozy winter feeling. We recommend choosing light colours such as grey and white for your furniture. We have some ideas for couches, and tables that give that winter vibe. Our Istanbul sectional sofa is made of a cream tweed fabric, with cushions that are filled with foam. Our Calvin Glass Series table would compliment that sofa in your living room.

Dining Room

As for your dining room, we also recommend selecting a table with a light colour. You can also select a wooden table as it will also give that cozy feeling. Our Sword Extendable table is especially unique as it has both of these elements. The table top is white and a wooden base. This will look great with a winter themed centerpiece.

Other Ideas

Aside from furniture, there are other ways to give your house a winter theme:

Centerpieces: Whether it’s for your dining room or coffee table, we recommend selecting a winter themed centerpiece. What exactly does that look like? We suggest placing centerpieces that have any of these: pinecones, glass, candles, and white or silver branches.

Fireplace: Decorating your fireplace with winter themed accessories will transform your living room. We recommend placing candles, a wreath and a mirror for a winter vibe. There are lots of DIY ideas online to help you find whatever you are looking for.

Porch: So far we focused a lot on decorating the inside of your house, but decorating the outside can also give your house a winter vibe before even entering it. Hanging a wreath is what we typically imagine. However there are other unique ideas as well that you can make yourself. For example you can hang a basket filled with winter accessories. You can also fill baskets with pinecones to put on your porch or hang DIY snowflakes on the door. Lastly, do not forget your lights!
